Hi I’m Dr. Thais Moldovan MD
I am a double certified physician in internal medicine and rheumatology. I attended medical school in Brazil, where I am originally from. I graduated at the top of my class earning the Outstanding Recognition Award, the highest honor for a graduating medical student. During the last year of medical school, I was accepted into an international exchange program at Harvard Medical School and completed medical rotations as a student at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
After that, I was accepted for internal medicine residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia and also completed my fellowship there too. I am an active member of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Rheumatology. Now I am pursuing my dream of managing my own practice and providing the caring service that you deserve.
If you need a rheumatologist, I will treat you like family.
Our Work
If you or a loved one has an autoimmune disease or a musculoskeletal disorder the discomfort is real and persistent and the limitations can be frustrating. You have likely discovered that the problem has been difficult to pinpoint and resolve. If that is the case, an evaluation from a rheumatologist is needed to diagnose and treat the issue.
Due to the chronic nature of these types of medical issues, it is essential to establish a long term relationship with a compassionate rheumatologist, someone who will get to know you and be available during flare-ups and hospitalizations. My approach is to work closely with you and be there when you need me. Someone once paid me a great compliment when they said that I care about my patients like they’re family.
And because I care for my patients like family, I rarely, if ever, prescribe addictive narcotics. I search for solutions to complex medical problems, not solely pain management.
The goal for my patients is to help them do what they want to do, need to do, love to do and have to do with minimal or no limitations, like play with their kids or grandkids, golf, walk their dog, climb stairs, type on the computer, cook, paint, garden, play tennis or go for a walk with loved ones and work.
